Q. ¿Debo grabar antes de colocar el Sellante Embrace?
R. Graba siempre el esmalte. Los productos que decían que no necesitaban grabar el esmalte han sido retirados del mercado. No funcionaban.

Q. ¿Cómo de húmedo debo dejar el diente antes de colocar Embrace?
R. Coloca Embrace sobre superficies dentales ligeramente húmedas. Seca ligeramente el diente con aire comprimido o una bolita de algodón, pero sin desecarlo. El diente debe tener un aspecto brillante o lustroso. No debe haber gotas ni charcos de agua.

Q. ¿Qué debo hacer si seco demasiado el diente?
R. Puedes aplicar una bolita de algodón húmeda sobre el diente.

Q. ¿Qué ocurre si coloco Embrace sobre un diente seco?
R. Embrace se activa con la humedad. Sellará un diente seco, pero funciona aún mejor en presencia de humedad.

Q. ¿Debo utilizar un agente adhesivo con Embrace?
R. No es necesario utilizar un agente adhesivo. Los ensayos clínicos demuestran una retención insuperable sin utilizar agentes adhesivos.

Q. ¿Cuántos dientes sella un kit?
R. La jeringa de 1,2 ml sella de 20 a 30 dientes. Un kit de 4 jeringas de 1,2 ml sella entre 80 y 120 dientes. La jeringa de 3 ml sella 50-75 dientes.

Q. ¿Cuánto tiempo permanecerá Embrace en los dientes?
R. Nuestro estudio clínico ha realizado un seguimiento de 334 dientes durante 4-6 años. No hubo preselección de los niños. Se incluyó incluso a niños con mala higiene y malos hábitos alimentarios. El 10% de los selladores requirieron reparación o sustitución durante el periodo de 4-6 años. Sólo tres dientes tenían caries en la superficie oclusal sellada. Los dientes sellados con Embrace estaban libres de caries en un 99%.

FAQs

  • Q. Do I etch before placing Embrace Sealant?
    A. Always etch enamel. Products claiming they did not require enamel etching have been taken off the market. They did not work.
  • Q. How wet do I leave the tooth before placing Embrace?
    A. Place Embrace on slightly moist tooth surfaces. Lightly dry the tooth with compressed air or a cotton pellet, but do not desiccate the tooth. The tooth should appear shiny or glossy. There should be no drops or pooling of water.
  • Q. What should I do if I dry the tooth too much?
    A. You can apply a moist cotton pellet to the tooth.
  • Q. What happens if I place Embrace on a dry tooth?
    A. Embrace is activated by moisture. It will seal a dry tooth, but it works even better in the presence of moisture.
  • Q. Should I use a bonding agent with Embrace?
    A. It is not necessary to use a bonding agent. Clinical trials show unsurpassed retention without the use of bonding agents.
  • Q. How many teeth does a kit seal?
    A. The 1.2 mL syringe seals 20-30 teeth. A kit if 4 x 1.2 mL syringes seals 80-120 teeth. The 3 mL syringe seals 50-75 teeth.
  • Q. How long will Embrace stay on the teeth?
    A. Our clinical study has followed 334 teeth for 4-6 years. There was no pre-screening of children. Even children with poor hygiene and poor eating habits were included. Ten per cent of the sealants required repair or replacement over the 4-6 year period. Only three teeth had caries on the sealed occlusal surface. The teeth sealed with Embrace were 99% caries free.
  • Q. How long do I light cure Embrace?
    A. Light cure time with a standard halogen light is 20 seconds. More powerful lights will cure faster.
  • Q. Does Embrace cure with all lights?
    A. Yes.
  • Q. Is Embrace fluoride releasing?
